Match Preview - Manchester vs. Birmingham

by Nathan Linley

There is a really good feel around Manchester Futsal Club currently as the Blues prepare to take on Birmingham Futsal Club tomorrow.

Sergi Saldana’s men will go into the game on the back of a 6-5 victory last weekend against Tranmere Rovers and will wanting to get the momentum going for an unbeaten run in the National Futsal Super League.

The visitors will arrive at the Belle Vue Leisure Centre sitting 6th in the Super League table and have proved to be very competitive against other teams this season, one result that sticks out for them was their impressive 8-5 victory away at Genesis Futsal Club.

Sergi told ManchesterFutsal.com that he has been very happy with the way that training has gone this week and is very pleased about the progress that his squad is making.

“We are training very well.  I’m very happy because if you compare our training from two months ago, the change is enormous.  I think that we have prepared very well for the game against Birmingham and I think that we can get a victory, but we know it will be very difficult as they are very good team.  We have a big squad which I love but at the same time I don’t like.  Everyone always comes to training with the desire to be involved in matches.  The competition is massive every week for places and there are always hard decisions to be made with deciding who is going to play”.

Manchester will take on Birmingham at the Belle Vue Leisure Centre, with kick off taking place at 2:30pm tomorrow (19th November).  Get down and the support the lads.
