Besides Manchester's electric choices of bars, restaurants and landmarks, the city will provide the backdrop for an exciting showcase of four National Futsal Series matches this weekend, where the home side will face Loughborough Students in an attempt to leapfrog above them in the table.

With Manchester United and Manchester City both out of action this weekend, it bestows upon the city's futsal team to carry its sporting beacon. For everyone involved behind the scenes at the club, the showcase has undoubtedly been a date to save on the calendar.

The National Cycling Centre, which is certainly one of the more impressive sporting venues in Greater Manchester, will play host to a collection of teams ranging from league leaders London Helvecia to bottom of the table Kent United.

In total, four matches are scheduled to take place, seeing us right the way through the afternoon so it's certainly shaping up to be an exciting showcase of the country's finest futsal talent.

With the sport continuing to prosper year after year, it's days like these where you can see the futsal community in full force, with family and friends of all ages coming together to support their chosen club.
