Founded
The Beginning
Simon Wright and Ilya Ovechkin found Manchester Futsal Club in March 2006 — the first of its kind in the city, with a bold mission to make Manchester the home of futsal in England.
Historic First
First FA Charter Standard Club
Manchester Futsal become the first futsal club in England to receive the FA's Charter Standard accreditation — setting a benchmark for clubs across the country.
2007
League
Regional League Champions
Captain Samuel Richardson leads the team to dominate the Manchester FA Regional Futsal League. An electric first season.

Competition
First Tournament — Tees Valley Cup
The club competes in its first ever external tournament. They win every group and knockout game before a tiring extra-time defeat in the final to Perth Futsal. Runners-up in their debut.

Manchester Futsal Club compete in the FA Futsal Cup for the first time — an early sign of the club's growing ambitions on the national stage.
2008
🌍 Historic First
Umbro International Futsal Cup
Manchester host the first ever international futsal tournament in Manchester — the Umbro International Futsal Cup 2008. A landmark moment that put Manchester on the global futsal map.
National League
Into the FA National League
The club enters the FA National Futsal Northern Conference. Brazilian coach Rodrigo Freitas is appointed, bringing fresh ambition. They finish second and qualify for national play-offs.
2009
Players
Doug Reed — First English Pro in Spain
Doug Reed and Ross Farran break into the England squad. Reed signs professionally with Spanish second division side Lanzarote Tias Yaiza — one of the first English players ever to do so.
2010
International
First International Appearance
Invited by Gothenburg Futsal Club, Manchester compete on international soil for the first time — finishing third against clubs from Sweden and Uruguay.
2011
🏆 Trophy
FA Futsal Cup Champions
The club wins its first major trophy — 5–2 over Team Baltic in the final. A Stuart Cook hat-trick plus goals from Doug Reed and Samuel Richardson. Doug Reed named Player of the Tournament.

Northern Title + All-Time Record Win
First National League North title — 118 goals in 12 games. Includes the largest ever league victory: a 27–0 demolition of Hull Futsal at the Velodrome.

ESPN Tiger Street Football — Asia
As the UK's representatives in ESPN Star's Asian street football tournament, Manchester compete across Singapore, Malaysia, Mongolia and Vietnam — finishing 5th overall.
2012
Women's
Women's Team Established
The club launches its women's programme, opening a new chapter and beginning to build one of England's most competitive women's futsal sides.
Partnership
Manchester City — Connell Awards
Manchester Futsal Club delivers futsal in schools in partnership with Manchester City in the Community — recognised at the Manchester City Connell Awards. Brazilian star Maicon attends the event, highlighting the profile of the programme.

VeloCity — MFC vs Man City Legends
A special exhibition event at the Velodrome pits Manchester Futsal Club against Manchester City FC Legends — bringing the two clubs together in a unique spectacle that captured the imagination of the city.

Youth Futsal Programme Launch
Manchester Futsal Club officially launches its Youth Futsal Programme — creating structured pathways for young players across the city and laying the foundations for what would become the MFC Academy.

The club launches its first Youth Futsal Tournament programme — giving young players competitive experience and building a pathway from grassroots to elite level.

The club launches its Youth Futsal Development Centres — expanding the grassroots footprint across Greater Manchester and creating more entry points for young players to discover the game.

Community Sports Club of the Year
Manchester City Council recognises the club's community impact with this award. In the same year the club becomes a Community Interest Company (CIC).

Unbeaten North Champions
Stuart Cook leads an unbeaten Northern campaign — 96 goals, 27 conceded. The club reach the Super League Final before a controversial defeat to Baku United.

First International Youth Tour — El Pozo, Spain
The club's youth players make history with their first ever international tour — travelling to Spain to train and compete against El Pozo Murcia, one of the world's most prestigious futsal clubs.

King Chosen by Ricardinho
Raducio King is personally selected by futsal legend Ricardinho to feature in a worldwide exhibition game alongside global stars Falcao and Ricardinho — the highest possible stage for an English futsal player.

10th Anniversary
A decade at the Velodrome celebrated with a special "Team Ovechkin vs Team Richardson" exhibition — bringing together past and present players to mark everything the club had built.

Women Make History
The women's team win both the National FA Futsal League and the FA Futsal Cup in the same season — the first women's team in English futsal history to achieve the double.

National Treble Champions
The men's team sweep the board — FA National Futsal Series, League Cup and Grand Final — the first treble in English futsal history. Jordan Edge wins Player of the Season. Sam Richardson wins Coach of the Year. Club of the Year awarded.

UEFA Futsal Champions League
Manchester host Group D of the UEFA Futsal Champions League at the National Cycling Centre — the first English club ever to host the competition. They face Dutch, Turkish and Armenian champions in front of a packed Velodrome.
